food (again?)

Today i went to Bar B Q plaza in Sunway Pyramid to have my lunch. quite tasty i could say, and the peanut sauce is the main attraction here. but it was a bit overpriced for me, due to the 10% service charge and 5% government tax. total damage was RM52 for 2 persons. anyway, the service was excellent, much much better than many other restaurants I've ever been to. only managed to get one photo.I've forgotten what name of the food it is. If I've not mistaken I ordered the family set.



Then i went to my friend's house to play games for the whole afternoon and evening, then we went to Buffalo Steakhouse near Mentari Court to have dinner. and this is my second time I ate there in this week. I ate there for the first time during my ex-housemate's birthday. it was a big party. Buffalo Steakhouse is seriously very delicious and totally worth it. I was having Australian Lamb Chop this time, it tastes quite good, although I had difficulty in eating because the meat was very hard to cut. But I have to say, the Chicken Chop steak which I ate during my ex-housemate's birthday tastes better.

fun day

Yesterday was a very fun day for me. i went out with my friend from my hometown who is currently studying in taylor's hospitality school in PJ. he is my old friend, i've known him for 8 years. we went to sunway pyramid for having carl's jr, and i was having my favourite all the time, famous star. (fast food again, haiz). then we went to his house in mentari court for playing Xbox. wow, this is the first time i played Xbox and i think it is more awesome than PS2. afterwards, we went to club 9 to play billyard, he is quite a good player, which i think is slightly better than me..LOL. then we went to asia cafe for having dinner. bottom line, we spent quite lots of bucks for this day. we used taxi as our transportation and i just think that taxi in malaysia is quite sucks. lack of courtesy and definitely we must have good bargaining skill, otherwise, we'll be cheated.

three times fast food in a week, is it healthy? i think i am a victim of McValue Lunch..LOL. the bad news is that they are gonna extend to McValue Dinner, in regards of Muslim's fasting month.

tiring day

Yesterday was a tiring day for me. i had to go to indonesian embassy in KL for renewing my passport. yes, renewing passport. sounds quite tedious and complicated, huh? the truth was that it was very tedious. firstly, i didn't know exactly where indonesian embassy is located. i just know the address. it took me around two hours of journey to reach there from my house. rapid KL bus, LRT, and walking are my transportations to get there. during my journey, i saw so many people wearing medical mask (well, i'm not sure about the word) to protect themselves from the "popular" H1N1. H1N1 is really a serious issue, huh? (considering that i seldom go out to KL..LOL) well, my thought is that as long as i drink plenty of water and have good antibody, i should've prevented myself from flu, unless somebody sneezed H1N1 virus in front of me.LOL..Okay, back to the previous story, once i reached indonesian embassy, i just quite shocked. i saw lots of indonesian workers, maybe there were thousands of them, no joke. then i filled up the registration form, waited to be called, wandered here and there, then finally i have to wait for about one hour for processing my new passport. the officers are not friendly i could say (well, since i lived in malaysia and indonesia, i'm used to it, i mean the unfriendly officers). then i went back to my house.

Can a family man with Salary RM3,000 survive in Malaysia

Let's do some simple calculations here.

In Malaysia , the average family income is RM3,000 /month
(where father works, mother doesn't).

I understand there are many families whose
monthly income does not reach RM3,000,
but, to make things simple,
let's take RM3,000 as the figure. Ok lah, right?

Okay, let's start rolling with a family which has
Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam ....

Calculation starts...

Electricity and water bill: RM100
(No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater ... ok?)

Phone bill ( Telekom): RM100

Meals for a happy family: RM775
(3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons...?)

Papa makan / teh-tarik during working hrs: RM155
(RM5/day, RM5 ... can eat what?)

Car repayment: RM400
(A proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment)

Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300
(go to work, bring son to school,
only can afford one car running)

Insurance: RM650
(kids, wife and myself)

House repayment: RM750
(low cost housing repayment for 30 yrs,
retired still have to work to pay!)

Tuition: RM80
(got that cheap meh? i don't think so)

Older children pocket money @ school: RM20
(RM1/day, eat bread?)

School fees: RM30
(enough ah?)

School books and etc: RM100
(always got extra to pay in school)

Younger children milk powder: RM50
(cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive)

Miscellaneous: RM100
(shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper)

Oh wait!!! I have to stop here, so...
No Astro,
no movie @ cinema,
no DVD,
no CD,
no online,
cannot KFC,
cannot McDonald,
cannot go Park walk during weekend (petrol expensive),
no chit chat on phone with grandparents, and etc...

Let's use a calculator to total up... WALAO EH! sh*t! RM3,610 already...

EPF belum potong, income tax lagi........oledi RM3,610 ....

How to survive lah tuan-tuan dan puan-puan sekalian ???

Our Deputy Prime Minister asked us to change lifestyle?

How to change? Don't eat? Don't work? Don't send children to school and study?

Besides that, I believe in Malaysia population, there are millions of rakyat Malaysia which still don't earn RM3,000/month!!!

What is this? Inilah Malaysia Boleh... Sorry .... it should be Malaysians Boleh , because we're still alive and kicking!!

small confusion

i just wondered, how come sometimes my laptop can turn off suddenly without any reason, especially while i am playing my lovely EPSxe. it has happened about 3 or 4 times.... i've done plenty of research by googling, but didn't find any good reasons.
