Taylor's Lakeside Campus

Yesterday was the first day I officially went to Lakeside Campus to attend classes. The campus itself is very huge, but the hospitality campus is not ready yet. And the one which really amazes me is the library, if I've not mistaken, it has 4 storeys and the design is very beautiful and elegant(sorry for no pics provided). It even has long sofas to sleep.lol. And the lecture hall itself, it is well-designed, better than lecture hall in TBS/ADP, and it can make us concentrate more. I can see how much effort they put in order to make the campus better visually.

However, outside of the library and lecture hall, I need to rant a lot. First of all, the computers are very slow (maybe due to low RAM) and the internet is very slow as well. i have hard time logging on and logging off the computer, and it takes like 3-4 minutes merely for logging in and out. And the first time I entered the computer lab, I spotted 2 spoiled computers!!! And the worst to come, the printing system sucks!! much more sucky than TBS last time!! It has maybe hundred of students using the computers in all computer labs, and guess what, it only has 1 or 2 printers for catering all computer labs!! When I came to the printer room, it was like 5 or 6 students queuing. If one student takes 2 or 3 minutes to print (by using follow-you-print, which is slow), then it needs more than 10 minutes of queuing. Pathetic, yeah. I heard that this whole new campus project is worth RM 450 million, so why not spend a little more to improve printing and computer facilites?
And one more thing which troubles me somehow, I need more time to take the bus. The morning whenever I go to campus is ok, it only takes like 5-10 minutes. However, I need 30 minutes from the campus to reach my house in the afternoon/evening (hot weather definitely worsens the suffer).lol. Actually I don't need to rant this part if I didn't use to live near the college.XD

Outside the functional facilities of the campus, I think that the water in the lake is dirty, although the lake is huge. Cafeteria wise, it doesn't have much choices and the price and taste is ok I guess. But since it is beginning, I think they'll make more food stalls, for catering more students in the future. As far as I know, the programme which is running now in the lakeside campus is only UWE. uniSA students are having holidays now. The campus will be extremely crowded when all the programmes are running.

Best campus in Malaysia?
Visually yes.
Facilities definitely no.
Quality of teaching and programmes, I don't know.lol
