Carl's Jr.@Sunway Pyramid

I ordered Famous Star set which consists of burger, french fries, and refillable drink. The picture above are 2 sets. The great thing dining here is that your drink is refillable, and a great variety of drinks are available, ranging from coke, sprite, 100plus, and even hot coffee/tea is provided! I myself refilled it four times with four different types of drink.lol.

Although the picture is not attractive, this famous star burger tastes great. The texture tastes like Big Mac/Double Cheeseburger actually, but this one is definitely more tasty. I chose to order this because I've tried the chicken burger last time, and it sucks though. There is another one called Super Star burger, which doubles the meat, and it suits big appetite ones.lol. The price is around RM16++ if I've not mistaken. And the Famous Star I ordered only costs RM13++ per set.

And the french fries is the great stuff in Carl's Jr. It is much thicker and crispier, compared to usual french fries like, let's say Mcd. However, one thing which I quite disappointed is that the Heinz chili sauce. I don't know if that is a great brand or what, but for me, it doesn't taste spicy at all. My suggestion is that, if you go to Carl's Jr., don't order the chicken, order the beef instead.

Sushi Zanmai@Sunway Pyramid

Actually the location of Sushi Zanmai is quite hard to find. For those who know where Kim Gary (which I think is quite famous) is, Sushi Zanmai is just located upstairs of it.

This is what I ordered, Wasbillar Roll@RM12.80 which is recommended by my friend. One plate consists of six pieces. The taste is so great and crunchy.lol. And notice the small green balls on the tops? :D Oh yeah, there is mayonnaise on the side, but on my photo, I've messed up everything..lol. And the mayonnaise tastes wonderful.

This is Spider Roll@RM12.80. Taste wise still great, but I still prefer Wasbillar Roll. And the same as previous, one plate consists of six pieces.

This is the side order, after feeling that eating the previous ones couldn't make me full.lol. Salmon Sushi@RM3.80. Actually the size is quite big in real. And one important thing, the freshness is great.

Great and friendly service, drink is constantly refillable, the service here is quite good, although we waited quite long for the meal. The total bill came at RM40.50 inclusive of the drink (ocha, which is RM1 and refillable) and 10% service charge and 5% government tax. All in all, Sushi Zanmai is highly recommended. Decent price, great taste of food, good service definitely explain it.

Tea Time Buffet@Sakae Sushi

Sakae Sushi has buffet time from 3-6PM on every weekday (Monday-Friday). Since I never eat sushi buffet before, it is a perfect time for me to try.lol. And since the price is reasonable and cheap.

Sakae Sushi has very nice ambiance, better than Sushi King and Sushi Zanmai in my opinion.

The first thing that came, I don't know what the name is, but this one is great! There is prawn in it. And the another ones came with crab.
We did order A LOT of different types of sushi...And the rest, picture will do the talkings...lol

more and more coming......lol

This one is wonderful!!

This is the worst of all, damn spicy!! lol

Have to admit that certain sushi aren't really fresh though, like the sashimi. We used our student card so we are charged at RM22.90 (pre-tax). Adults are charged RM27.90 and children RM17.90...Total bill for us is RM85 for 3 persons, means around RM28 per pax including of tax and the drink which is ocha (green tea).

Italiannies@Sunway Pyramid

This restaurant is actually located outside of the main door in the orange atrium. Ambiance wise, it's not very very classy, but it has its unique Italian decoration, I don't know how to explain further.lol. and I know that the picture with I took was sucky..lol

This is what we were served in the beginning. I seriously had no idea what is the name of the one beside the bread, but it tastes good! And for information, this one is free of charge.

This is what my friend ordered. It is Pizza Caprese. It roughly tastes like normal pizza that we normally eat but this one is definitely better.

This is Seafood Rissoto@RM30.90 which my friend ordered. It has really unique taste that I never taste before.lol. I don't know how to explain but the picture will definitely give the ideas.

This is what I ordered! lol. It is Beef Lasagna@RM32.90. It is actually meaty pasta. The portion may look small on the picture but actually it is very big! It was so cheesy but damn juicy.lol. I actually had tough time to finish this, since it has too much cheese on it, and everybody will get sick if eat too much of this kind of stuff.lol. But for me, it tastes damn great albeit too cheesy.

When I finish half of it, I was already damn full.lol. But anyway I still forced myself to finish this.haha.

The small portion of mango juice (which I ordered) was a disappointment though. It costs somewhere around RM7-8 if I've not mistaken. Look at its portion compared to the another drink(which is Tequila Sunrise).

Overall, it was great meal and it costs us RM155.30 (3 pax) inclusive of 10% service charge and 5% government tax. Yeah, it was expensive stuff and it costs averagely RM50 per person.lol. But this kind of eating experience definitely worth a try.

Chicken Chop with Brown Sauce@Foh Foh

Finally, after my long crave for steak has been satisfied, lol. I went to Foh Foh hawker stalls, which is just located behind Taylor's Business School (SS15). I was in the choice of either black pepper chicken chop or brown sauce chicken chop, but since I've already known what black pepper taste is going to be, I went with the chicken chop with brown sauce.

Looks tempting? Yeah, in fact, it was good and tasty!! And it was hella cheap, only at RM6.90!! The portion was quite generous as well, especially a large amount of french fries was given. Thumbs up for hawker stall's steak..lol. I just ask myself, how can they charge this steak at such a cheap price? I mean the material cost for the meat, the french fries definitely ain't cheap! And another simple question popped out suddenly in my mind. Imagine steak below RM10 like this is already damn nice, how about those steak that priced like RM40 or RM50 per piece? Does it taste a few times better than this? Yeah, I know I'm poor, I've yet to try those deluxe steak..lol

Papa John's Pizza

Today I went Papa John's pizza in Sunway Pyramid with my two friends. It is a newly opened restaurant in Sunway Pyramid and located in the G floor, which is near to the main entrance of Sunway Pyramid actually.

It has very nice ambiance and decoration, totally better than its famous competitors, which are Pizza Hut and Domino's. I should have taken more pictures of the restaurant decoration.lol

First of all, we were served butter, cili padi (I was like omg??!), and tomato sauce. The butter and tomato sauce definitely make the pizza more flavorful but the cili padi?lol. For me, it is just weird to mix pizza with cili padi.

This is the 9" Thin Crust BBQ Chicken&Beef @RM5(We used coupon for this, the original price is RM23.90). It was great and juicy!! Rate: 9/10

This is 9" Super Papa's @RM21.90 (which is Papa John's speciality I guess?). The taste was great too, it was meaty and tasty, although I think the previous one was better. And I feel that the bread is somehow thicker than normal pizza..And also the presentation was not good enough...But the taste overall, good! Rate: 8.5/10

And we ordered Sky Juice (ice water) as the other drinks are rather expensive. The total bill came out at RM31.95 inclusive of 10% Service Charge and 5% Government Tax. Yeah it's cheap because we used coupon.lol. This restaurant definitely does not lose to Pizza Hut or Domino's, and another important thing is that the service is great and friendly, compared to Pizza Hut's notorious service.lol

Char Koay Teow

I tapao-ed and ate Char Koay Teow in the Kwai Sun restaurant yesterday. I know that the food seller used to operate the stall near the Salmon Steak there, but I don't know why she moved to Kwai Sun restaurant recently. So I ordered the largest portion@RM5.

Looks tempting?lol. No, the taste sucks. No 'ham'. And lack of saltiness for me. The one that I had previously in Asia Cafe is better.

It has been said that Penang has the best Char Koay Teow in Malaysia. And I've yet to try.lol

Uncle Seng fresh own made noodle SS15 Subang Jaya

So yesterday I went to eat uncle seng home-made noodle with my housemate. Actually I've been there several times before, but only for this time I put this on my blog.lol

The last time when I ate, the taste was fantastic. The noodle itself is a bit tasteless actually, but it has the springy feel when you eat it. By adding chilli sauce, it will be better. And the pork/chicken, just simply great. But this time I put too much chilli sauce, it turned out to be too spicy for me.lol. In fact, I never eat such spicy noodle in my life.lol. The photo above is the curry chicken noodle. (And it is big mistake that I put chilli sauce since it has already had curry chicken. Should not put too much next time. Oh no, I'm craving for uncle seng noodle now!)

Taylor's Lakeside Campus

Yesterday was the first day I officially went to Lakeside Campus to attend classes. The campus itself is very huge, but the hospitality campus is not ready yet. And the one which really amazes me is the library, if I've not mistaken, it has 4 storeys and the design is very beautiful and elegant(sorry for no pics provided). It even has long sofas to sleep.lol. And the lecture hall itself, it is well-designed, better than lecture hall in TBS/ADP, and it can make us concentrate more. I can see how much effort they put in order to make the campus better visually.

However, outside of the library and lecture hall, I need to rant a lot. First of all, the computers are very slow (maybe due to low RAM) and the internet is very slow as well. i have hard time logging on and logging off the computer, and it takes like 3-4 minutes merely for logging in and out. And the first time I entered the computer lab, I spotted 2 spoiled computers!!! And the worst to come, the printing system sucks!! much more sucky than TBS last time!! It has maybe hundred of students using the computers in all computer labs, and guess what, it only has 1 or 2 printers for catering all computer labs!! When I came to the printer room, it was like 5 or 6 students queuing. If one student takes 2 or 3 minutes to print (by using follow-you-print, which is slow), then it needs more than 10 minutes of queuing. Pathetic, yeah. I heard that this whole new campus project is worth RM 450 million, so why not spend a little more to improve printing and computer facilites?
And one more thing which troubles me somehow, I need more time to take the bus. The morning whenever I go to campus is ok, it only takes like 5-10 minutes. However, I need 30 minutes from the campus to reach my house in the afternoon/evening (hot weather definitely worsens the suffer).lol. Actually I don't need to rant this part if I didn't use to live near the college.XD

Outside the functional facilities of the campus, I think that the water in the lake is dirty, although the lake is huge. Cafeteria wise, it doesn't have much choices and the price and taste is ok I guess. But since it is beginning, I think they'll make more food stalls, for catering more students in the future. As far as I know, the programme which is running now in the lakeside campus is only UWE. uniSA students are having holidays now. The campus will be extremely crowded when all the programmes are running.

Best campus in Malaysia?
Visually yes.
Facilities definitely no.
Quality of teaching and programmes, I don't know.lol

welcome to 2010

Well, this is my first post in 2010. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYBODY!!!
actually january is a holiday month for me (meaning no classes). However, there are a number of tasks waiting in this month. IF presentation, FM mid test, CRTP assignment, AIC presentation. quite challenging for the beginning of the year, eh?
